In most games you can simply open a Guild panel and just create your Guild, it isn’t that simple in Ashes of Creation. In this guide we are going to show you how you can setup your Guild. Be careful here as the tool-tips in game can be a bit confusing and we nearly deleted our guild before we even created it!
These are the things you are going to need in preperation to create your Guild.
- Mayoral Guild Seal
- Red Ink
- Crude Paper
Mayoral Guild Seal
As soon as you are ready to get started on setting up your Guild for your crew, head into one of the nodes (towns) located around the map. Once you’re in one of the towns head to the Town Hall where you will find the Guild Manager, he will sell you your Mayoral Guild Seal – hold onto this for now!

Red Ink
Red Ink is created from Ruby! Finding Ruby is pretty hard to find early as it has random spawns. Whenever you destroy a granite or basalt node, there is a random chance that a higher-tier resource will spawn, such as Ruby.

Once you have your Ruby, you will need to head to an Alchemist table where you can turn you Ruby into Ruby Powder.
Once you have your Ruby Powder you will need to craft that + water into Red Ink. If you don’t have any water, you can buy it from a near-by vendor who will sell it to you for a few copper!
Crude Paper

Creating your Guild in Ashes of Creation
You should now have your Crude Paper, Red Ink and Mayoral Guild Seal and you can make your way to the closest Scribing Table. Here you are looking for the Guild Creation Scroll.
This is the bit that took me a while to understand, once you have your Guild Creation scroll you do not need to go back to the Guild Manager, just simply open your inventory and Right Click your Guild Creation Scroll and you will be prompt to create a Guild.
That’s it, you now have your Guild in Ashes of Creation, go ahead and invite all your friends.
