Steven’s been dropping some exciting bits about what’s coming up in the game, so we’ve broken down a recent stream that he did talking a bit more about what’s to come in Ashes of Creation.
First off, sieges are about to get a whole lot easier to test out. Steven mentioned that sometime this week or next, they’re slashing or even axing the cost of sieges. That means more epic battles to play around with.

Cargo’s getting some changes too. Soon, small cargo will be a physical thing your character can grab and haul around. Down the line, they’re planning to let us sling small crates on mules, roll medium ones via caravans or ships, and save the big boys for merchant ships cruising between harbors. It’s like a logistics mini-game, and I’m weirdly excited to play pack mule.
For the pirates out there, ships are leveling up. They’re working on adding climbable ladders. Plus, the biggest ships are confirmed to be “raid size,” which sounds like we’re in for some massive nautical battles.

Over in the Turquoise Sea, things are getting a glow-up with the 0.8 release on April 10th, 2025. Expect some cool points of interest like shipwrecks to explore, and Steven even teased a sunken treasure Relic tied to a story arc.

On the combat front, Tanks are getting a rework—here’s hoping they feel beefier than ever. And if you’ve been interested about Time-to-Kill (TTK), keep an eye out for stat tweaks in the 0.9 release on April 24th, 2025.
Oh, and did someone say KRAKEN!?!?! Steven showed off its swimming animations at 45:01 in an October 2024 stream, and this beast will be patrolling the Turquoise Sea and nearby waters.

Steven also mentioned again that Scientific Metropolises will have airships connecting them. Think ArcheAge vibes—floating through the skies. Of course right now we only have stage 3 nodes in the game — with metropolis being a stage 6 node we probably won’t be seeing them any time soon.
Finally, if you’re into sieges, Steven casted one on the US realms at 1:20:30 in the stream. It’s worth a watch!
