Where To Find The Butterflys Emissary in Once Human
Many players have been hunting down the Butterfly Emissary deviation since they discovered there is new variations of this. We have put together a complete guide that shows you where to find the Butterflys Emissary in Once Human and what the different variations do, as well as the best locations to farm this.
What is the Purpose of the Butterflys Emissary in Once Human
The purpose of the Butterfly Emissary is that you can synchronize this deviation and use it by your side during combat. It is incredibly strong as it can mark enemies’ weakspots and for each hit it does and causes the enemy to take a huge amount of extra Weakspot DMG for 5s.
Depending on what Skill Rating the butterfly you obtain is, will determine how much extra Weakspot damage it does. It is harder to discover a Skill Rating 5 deviant but if you are able to get this, you can see the huge damage difference below.
- Skill Rating 1 – 20% extra Weakspot DMG for 5s
- Skill Rating 2 – 25% extra Weakspot DMG for 5s
- Skill Rating 3 – 30% extra Weakspot DMG for 5s
- Skill Rating 4 – 35% extra Weakspot DMG for 5s
- Skill Rating 5 – 40% extra Weakspot DMG for 5s
Pairing this deviation with a weakspot build such as the Doombringer and Wildfire pistol can allow you to output a huge amount of extra damage, especially in prime wars. Allowing you to be at the top of the leaderboards with ease.
How Do You Get The Butterflys Emissary in Once Human
In order to get this, you will first need to remind yourself that you are competing with other players for this deviation. As there are only a few set locations to find this butterfly around Nalcott, it makes it highly competitive to get. All three variants can be obtained with the exact same method.
As seen in the image below, you can use our Once Human Interactive Map to see all the locations it spawns.
We have suggested two really good locations for this deviation. Which should allow you to get this butterfly with no issues.
Location 1 – 73 Source Extraction Point
The first location we recommend is at 73 Source Extraction Point (In-game Coordinates 2924,-1582). This will require phase 2 to be unlocked in the scenario first, but this location is recommended as it has the highest chance of giving you a higher level Butterfly Emissary’s.
Head to this location and make your way to the highest location. Just besides the Rift Anchor, is a doorway. Head inside and, just besides the broken glass and desk, you will find the chance for the deviation to spawn.
As a bonus, you may also see the Orb Lightning deviation spawn besides it too!
Please note if this deviation isn’t there, simply head south to the teleportation tower and change worlds and head straight back there. As it can be highly contested, you may have to hop many worlds to discover this.
Location 2 – Gaia Research Center Ruins
The second location we suggest is Gaia Research Center Ruins in Broken Delta (In-game Coordinates 4121,-6294). This location is excellent as you can get to this within the first phase of the scenario.
But as it is fairly far from any teleportation tower, players who wish to farm this deviation don’t really like this because it is a far distance to travel each time compared to other locations. This is very beneficial, as from my experience, I was able to get a butterfly every time i hopped worlds. Compared to other locations where i may have got 1 or 2 butterflies when I hopped all the 10 different worlds.
To find this deviation, simply head to Gaia Research Center Ruins and, in the north-east area, you will find a big building that you can enter. Head inside and go downstairs, which leads you into a big open room. As you will see on the walkway, is the Butterfly Emissary. Please note there is a weapon crate in this room too.
The Different Variants of the Butterflys Emissary in Once Human
There are a total of 3 different variations of the Butterfly Emissary deviation. Originally, there was only one type of this butterfly, but since the developers added hard mode scenarios, they decided to add some different variants as seen below.
All variants can be obtained in the exact same way but are strictly RNG based. So you may pick up multiple normal Butterfly’s Emissary before discovering the other two.
Normal – Butterfly’s Emissary
The normal butterfly, sadly, has no extra benefits except that it is a red-colored butterfly which allows you to do extra weakspot damage to enemies for 5 seconds. This one is extremely common to find. We suggest finding the highest skill rating you can, in order to do the most damage.
Glistening Blue – Butterfly’s Emissary
The Glistening Blue variant has recently been added and is slightly different to the normal one. Not just because the color looks different, but it also has the Weakspot Master perk. This allows you to restore 1 deviation energy each time you hit a weakspot. This means you can have it out longer during combat. This does have a 3-second cooldown though.
Starry Night – Butterfly’s Emissary
The Starry Night is the third variant that has been added to the game. It has a blue and yellow color and the Praise The Moon – Starry Night perk. Which is the best out of the three. It gives you 6% more damage for Weapon and Status damage at night. But, during the day, it is reduced by 50% causing it to only do 3% more damage which is still really good.
If you want the best Butterfly Emissary possible, we highly recommend a Starry Night variant at a 5 Skill Rating. This will give you 40% extra weakspot damage for 5 seconds and an additional 3%/6% Weapon and Status Damage.
