Where To Find The Extradimensional Cat in Once Human
Once we saw that the developers of Once Human introduced a cat deviation into the game, we just had to go and find this guy before doing anything else. Then, a few weeks later, the player base was surprised by having even more cats added.
If you are a huge cat lover like myself and want to return to your territory to find your cats welcoming you back, then you will definitely be wondering where to find the Extradimensional Cat in Once Human.
Thankfully, we have created a guide that will cover all the best locations to get this deviation and all the different variations that you can get within the game.
What Does The Extradimensional Cat Do in Once Human
The Extradimensional Cat sadly, doesn’t offer many benefits compared to other deviations within the game, but I have still yet to see a territory that doesn’t have a cat walking around. I personally think this is because it’s very pleasant to see when you return to your base from defeating monsters.
Although it might not seem it but the Extradimensional Cat does actually have a benefit. If you place a bed and take a rest on it. You will notice your cat will sleep besides you. We do recommend buying a double bed with starchrom for this. As the cat actually sleeps in the bed with you, whereas in the small prison-looking bed, the cat sleeps on the floor.
Sleeping in a bed normally, recovers your health and restores your sanity, but sleeping in bed with your cat gives you the additional buff – Cat Snooze.
Which will allow you to recover HP at an even faster rate than usual. This is beneficial if your team is waiting on you. So you can quickly heal up, but in general, it’s not practical to be doing this every time.
How Do You Get The Extradimensional Cat in Once Human
In order to get this deviation, you will need to simply head to the spawn location in any stronghold and hope you see the extradimensional cat floating around.
This devation could spawn in all the strongholds within Nalcott. Which is amazing because you can simply start at Deadsville first, then try to get the deviation 10 times by hoping worlds, then go straight to the next stronghold and repeat this process. Giving you a total of 50 chances of getting a Extradimensional Cat.
As seen in the image below on our interactive map, you can see all five spawn locations for the cat.
Deadsville
The first location the cat can spawn is in Deadsville stronghold. Simply fast travel to the location, and head to the red house at the back. Walk up the stairs into the kids’ bedroom. You will see the cat can be located here.
Meyer’s Market
The second location the cat can spawn is in Meyer’s Market. Once you arrive at this location, head into the big blue warehouse, and you will notice a small room in the corner. That is where the cat can spawn. Please note this cat can sometimes wander off around the building, but this is the primary location for it.
Greywater Camp
The third location to get this deviation is in Greywater Camp. Just besides the teleporter, you will see the wish machine in the small building. Head inside, and you will see the cat floating around this area. The cat can float behind the building too, but 99% of the time it’s there.
Tall Grass Inn
The fourth location is in Tall Grass Inn. This one is super easy to spot. As soon as you teleport in, look towards the middle island with the surrounding water. You will see the cat floating around next to Lowe who is sitting at the table.
Blackfell Town
The final location that this cat can spawn is inside Blackfell Town. Look towards where the NPCs are, and you will notice a set of stairs leading up above. Go upstairs, and you will notice the cat floating around this area. There will be a high chance that you may not see the cat much here because it is a player hotspot, so we highly recommend a different spot than this.
Variants of the Extradimensional Cat
You may have heard there are different cat variations in the game. This is correct, the developers saw how popular the normal cat was and decided to create a voting system for the players to decide which others they should add. The developers added 3 more different variations.
These can all be obtained the exact same way as a normal cat can be. But there seems to be a lower chance the variations could spawn compared to the normal Extradimensional Cat.
Normal Extradimensional Cat
The normal cat has no other additional benefits compared to the variations and has the highest chance of being obtained when capturing this deviation. But due to the cat itself not having such an important benefit, it would all come down to personal preference if you liked this type / color of the cat roaming around your territory.
Heavy Ginger
The Heavy Ginger cat is a variant that can be found within Nalcott. As you can see, this cat is a ginger color which looks amazing when roaming around. It also has an additional benefit with a trait called “Water Dormancy – Heavy Ginger”. It has a 35% Mood Recovery Speed when resting by the water.
Good Fortune
The Good Fortune cat is another variation, just like the Heavy Ginger. It is black and white looking and is personally my favorite. This guy also has the “Optimism – Good Fortune” trait that allows it to have + 40% to its max mood.
Moonlit Jewels
The Moonlit Jewels is the most exotic and rarest variation that is available for the cats. So this is the most desired. I think it’s meant to replicate the siamese cat with its looks.
This guy has the “Daydreaming – Moonlit Jewels” trait, which means if the cat is dormant, it has a 20% chance to restore 15 deviant power to other territory deviations. So this means it can affect and benefit other deviations in your home.
