The Growshroom is one of the most used deviants in Once Human upon the player base. We would class this as an S tier deviant with the ability to automate your farming process within your territory.
There are also alot of questions raised, such as how do you get this deviant, what is the best location to farm this deviant, and what are the new variations that have just been added? Well, we have put together a complete guide on the Growshroom which answers all these questions.
What Does The Growshroom Do in Once Human
Growshroom is a MUST have deviant, as it can plant your crops for you and harvest them when they are fully grown, then put them in its securement unit so you can easily collect them in one location. This speeds up farming massively and means you’ll have a much higher chance of getting deviated crops because your farm is running constantly.
The only downside to the deviant is that it does not plant your seeds with fertilizer, so if you wish to use Breeding Boost fertilizer which gives you more seeds back, you will have to manually plant them first. But with how fast the Devs are working with Once Human and the constant updates, we are sure they will add this feature soon.
How Do You Get The Growshroom in Once Human
Now that we have covered what the Growshroom does and the benefits of it, you will probably be wondering, how do you get this deviant? Well, there are two different ways of getting it.
The first way is simply growing mushrooms on your farm, and the deviant has a chance to appear in your crop plot. Then the second way which is alot more efficient is to pick wild mushrooms out in the wilderness and hope you get it. This leads straight into the next question. Where is the best location to farm mushrooms in Once Human?
Best Location to Farm Growshroom in Once Human
The best location to farm mushrooms for the chance of the Growshroom is in the cave near Sunbury. You can use the teleporter and, just besides it, is a big hole. Jump inside and you’ll land inside the cave. There is other entrances to this cave, but this is the fastest way of getting inside.
Now it’s a simple case of running around the cave and grabbing mushrooms that are on the floor until you get the Growshroom. Thankfully, these mushrooms have an extremely fast respawn rate, so by the time you run from one side of the cave to the other, they are all spawned back and ready to be farmed again.
Variants of the Growshroom
Since the start of the second scenario, which involved a new hard mode game play mode, they have also added new variations of certain deviants, which includes the Growshroom. As seen in the images below, you can now obtain a total of three variations of the deviant. You can get these in the exact same way, but if you are a collector, it just means you will need to farm 3 times as much to get them all.
Normal Growshroom
The normal Growshroom has nothing special about it sadly. But it looks cool regardless and does an amazing job! We highly recommend trying to get one with good traits so it can work consistently, then when you have spare time, try to farm the other variations.
Green Touch
The Green Touch is the same as the original Growshroom, but it has the Toxicologist trait. Which means it has a different appearance and also has a small chance to bring you back acid to its securement unit. This is a very rare deviant and can go for a lot of energy links on most servers.
Extra Large
The Extra Large is another variant that has recently been added to the game. It just looks like a normal mushroom but at an extra large size. The benefit to this Growshroom is that it gives an extra 40% gain to its Max Mood. This means it can work for longer.
