Where To Find The Pup Buddy in Once Human
The Pup Buddy is a rare deviant that many players want to get their hands on. This is because the Pup Buddy can only be obtained via a PVP server. Although you will see this deviant in players territories on PVE servers, thanks to being able to bring deviants over from older scenarios. What does the Pup Buddy Do in Once Human
The only reason why players want to get the Pup Buddy is that it can create a whim that increases your max load by 50. In order to get this, you will need to place your Pup Buddy inside a securement unit, then let it slowly create ‘Small Balloons’ over time. This will then unlock the Featherweight whim, which can be crafted inside the Supply Workbench for the cost of 4 acid, 3 glass and 8 small balloons.
How Do You Get The Pup Buddy in Once Human
In order to get this deviant, you must first be playing on a PVP server. Then you can either kill Ede the Balloon Headed Elite enemy, which has the chance to drop the Pup Buddy. Or you can look for the Charred Maniac enemy which is being held up by a floating balloon shaped like a dog. Defeating this also has the chance to give you the Pup Buddy deviant.
As seen in the images below, you can see the two different enemies that you can kill for a chance of obtaining the deviant.
Best Location to Farm The Pup Buddy in Once Human
Because this deviant doesn’t have a set spawn location, you can use our interactive map which has all the up-to-date locations of where you can get the Pup Buddy.
As seen on the map image below, you can see that there are multiple locations to have the chance to get the Pup buddy.
Location 1 – Blackfell Fallen Zone
The first location we recommend for this deviant is in Blackfell fallen zone. This is the best area to get this deviant, but sadly you will need to wait until phase 2 to get access to this location. As seen in the map image below, we have marked all the different locations that have a chance for the Charred Maniac to spawn and also the marker with the red circle shows where the Balloon headed elite enemy is.
First travel to Blackfell, then make your way to each marker and check each location. If you do not manage to find any of the enemies, don’t panic, you can simply drive straight back to Blackfell and change world and go again. We have noticed the Pup Buddy has a very high drop chance, so it shouldn’t take long for you to obtain it.
Location 2 – High Banks
The second location for the Pup Buddy that we recommend is High Banks. This area can be accessed in phase 1 and also has a teleporter which is extremely close by, so this means you can drive from the teleporter to the Ede, the Balloon elite enemy, defeat him and hope it drops the deviant.
Failing to do so, you can simply drive straight back to the teleporter, change worlds and go again. The only downside to this location is that at the start of the scenario, this elite will hardly be there due to the number of players clearing out this area.
