Travelling and traversing Arrakis can be both daunting and dangerous. This is especially true in the early stages of the game without vehicles, or if your vehicle has been destroyed. Fortunately, there is a few options to remedy the situation. In this guide we’ll show you how to fast travel in Dune: Awakening and keep yourself from running a marathon.
How to Fast Travel
To fast travel in Dune Awakening, you’ll have to head to one of the many specific places to be able to make the connecting travel. In the early game, for example, head to the Griffin’s Reach Tradepost in Hagga Basin.
The location can be any of these connecting NPC hotspot safezones but we’ll use the early game option to make use of the feature immediately.
Inside the Tradepost (or any other location you head to), you’ll want to look out for a masked NPC standing next to a projection of a Ornithopter. Interact with the NPC to start the Fast Travel (also known as Taxi Service) dialogue.
Speaking to the NPC and asking to fly provides you with several options, this is especially helpful if you want to quickly hop between locations or are in an emergency with no means of transport.
As a result, simply select the location you wish to travel to, and for a small fee of Solaris, you’ll be able to immediately travel to your desired destination.
As an example, we chose to travel to The Anvil, and one loading screen later, we’re there. Having the option to fast travel can be very helpful should you lose a vehicle, or simply need to head back to a previous area for a Contract or Story Quest quickly. From Griffin’s Reach Tradepost, you can travel to the following locations:
- The Anvil (Hagga Basin)
- Harko Village
- Arrakeen
These locations are especially helpful, as you can instantly reach a faction-based area of your choosing. So, remember, while you’re out there in the harsh deserts of Arrakis, there is a helping hand for travel should you have difficulties – good luck out there!
