Comfort is a key mechanic in Crosswind that directly impacts your stamina pool and recovery speed. A higher Comfort Level means more stamina and faster stamina regeneration, which is essential for both exploration and combat.

How to Increase Comfort
Increasing your Comfort is extremely simple but highly effective. Comfort is increased by placing decorations on your plot — the more decorations you add, the higher your Comfort Level.
During the Alpha test, we managed to achieve a Comfort Level of 40. This may change in future updates.
To place decorations:
- Open the building menu by pressing the B key.
- Go to the Decorations tab to see the full list of available decorations.
- Click the one you want, then place it down.
(As seen in the images below, you can see the Comfort Level increase in the corner of the screen.)

Decorations that Boost Comfort:
- Furniture: Beds, chairs, tables
- Lighting: Torches, lanterns, candles
- Decorative Items: Trophies, plates, books
Note: You cannot stack multiple items from the same category to gain additional Comfort. For example, placing two chairs won’t increase Comfort beyond what one chair provides.

Trophies Exception
Trophies are unique items and do stack, making them extremely valuable for raising Comfort. If you manage to find all the animal heads and place them, you can achieve a total of 12 extra Comfort in your home.

Comfort Benefits
Upgrading the Comfort Level of your home provides the following advantages:
Increased Stamina Pool
- Sprint, climb, dodge, and fight for longer periods.
- Essential for long-distance travel and large combat encounters.
Faster Stamina Regeneration
- Reduces downtime after stamina use.
- Critical for extended fights or scenarios where constant movement is required.

Final Thoughts
The Comfort system in Crosswind is a basic system focused on decorations and stamina improvements, but keep in mind this is based on the current Alpha version of the game.
Comfort mechanics, item stacking, or maximum levels may change as development continues, so be prepared for updates in future builds.
