Fast Traveling in Crosswind
Fast traveling is essential for saving time and safely transporting your valuable loot across the islands. In Crosswind, you have two primary methods for zipping around the map: the craftable Fast Travel Bell and your boat.

The Fast Travel Bell
This method allows you to travel from your base to other discovered points of interest. Placing Fast Travel Bells around the Archipelago is extremely important, as it saves you an extensive amount of time, especially when you are short on a resource and need to grab some quickly.
Locate Copper Ore
Your first step is to find Copper Ore. The island you start on and the other four nearby Coastal Jungle Islands all contain caves with Copper Ore inside. Make sure to bring your pickaxe and a torch to mine as much Copper Ore as possible.
It will cost you a total of 50 Ore per Fast Travel Bell.

Smelt Copper Ingots
Take the Copper Ore back to your base and use a smelter with charcoal to smelt it into Copper Ingots.
It costs 5 Copper Ore to make 1 Ingot, and you need a total of 10 Copper Ingots.

Craft the Fast Travel Bell
Once you have the Copper Ingots, interact with your workbench. The recipe for the “Fast Travel Bell” will now be revealed and available for you to craft.

Placement Strategy
It is highly recommended that you place your first Fast Travel Bell at your home plot. This creates a permanent, reliable point to return to, allowing you to easily and safely deposit your loot after an adventure. It also allows you to interact with the bell and travel to any other Fast Travel Bells you have placed.

Fast Traveling With Your Boat
This method is perfect for when you’re out exploring and need a quick trip back home without the long sail.
Instant Return Trip
When you are out at sea on your boat, you don’t need to manually sail all the way back. Simply open your world map, and you will have the option to instantly fast-travel back to your designated home base or any other fast-travel points you have placed. This is incredibly useful when your inventory is full.
Advanced Tip: Multiple Boat Travel Points
Since you can own multiple boats in Crosswind, you can use them as temporary, one-way fast travel points. Sail a secondary boat to a location you plan to return to frequently, and just leave it there.
When you need to get back to that spot quickly, you can use the fast travel menu to teleport directly to that boat’s location.
