The team at Crosswind just released a brand-new music video titled Shanties of Crosswind, giving fans a taste of how the sailing will look and feel in their game. Showcasing some classic Sea Shanties with stunning in-game footage, showcasing the game’s ships slicing through waves, dynamic water, and moody weather systems—all captured using an in game cinematic camera.
This comes after the recent news of the team letting us know they have closed their Alpha test sign ups.

The devs shared their enthusiasm in an announcement: “Oy, captains! Today we have something new for ya: a music video! We’ve put together a mix of shanties used in Crosswind along with some work-in-progress footage of our ships, as well as water and weather systems.” The video offers a visual look into what we can expect, the game gives us a Sea of Thieves mixed with New World style art style. The video also showed a crew on deck belting out the tunes.

While the NPCs crowding the deck won’t make it into the upcoming Alpha test, Crosswind Devs hinted they’re hard at work adding them in a future update. For now, this music video serves as a hearty appetizer, spotlighting the game’s gorgeous sailing mechanics and atmospheric charm. If you’re itching to hoist the sails and join the crew, this teaser is a must-watch—check it out on YouTube and get ready to sing along!
