Patch Highlights: Raids Tamed, Bleeds Buffed

This week’s patch focuses on balancing the chaos of Dragonwilds events and squashing pesky bugs. Here’s the rundown:

Ghornfell Raids and Events

  • Ghornfell Raids (Goblin Raid Parties): Cooldown doubled from 2 to 4 in-game days, cutting raid frequency in half.
  • Ghornfell Base Raids: Grace period extended from 9 to 12 in-game days, with a reduced 5% trigger chance (down from 10%) and a longer cooldown of 3.75 days (up from 2).
  • Ghornfell Hunted Events: Trigger chance slashed to 5% (from 10%), with a cooldown increase from 1 to 2.25 days.

Velgar Events

  • Meteor Barrages: Reduced from 5 to 2 meteors per event, making these less tedious.
  • Poison Breath: Now limited to strafing runs, streamlining the encounter.

Combat and Balancing

  • Bleed Damage: Hostile AI (except Vault Guardians—because, uh, blood runes?) is no longer immune to bleed effects, opening new combat strategies.
  • XP Balancing: Tweaks to purifying water XP for smoother progression.

Bug Fixes and Stability

  • Fixed multiple crash issues and improved general stability.
  • Patched holes in the map for seamless exploration.
  • Squashed UI bugs, including item name errors and inconsistencies.
  • Addressed localization issues for a polished experience.

What’s Next?

Jagex is already hard at work on the next patch, expected within two weeks, tackling feedback on Bloom, graphical options, and more. The team is also cooking up fresh content for the 0.8 update—stay tuned for a standalone post with juicy details!

This patch shows Jagex’s commitment to listening and delivering. With fewer raids clogging your adventures, more tactical combat options, and a cleaner gameplay experience, Dragonwilds is shaping up to be great.
