In this guide, I will show you all the new resources available in Elderwood, such as Fishes and Gatherables that you will need in your adventures. Let`s dive in!
Elderwood Fishes
Tons of new fish can be added to your collection as a fisherman in Palia with the Elderwood update. I will show up for all of them and also provide each location with a step-by-step guide.

Palian Betta Fish
Palian Betta Fish can be caught in the pond behind the central stables.
Select your rod and use worms, then cast your bait. It can be caught at any time of the day. Try until you catch Palian Betta. Let`s move on to the next.
Piksii Floatfish
Piksii Floatfish can be caught at the De Mer dock. Head over to the marked location.
You will need to use glow worms, and they can be caught anytime during the day. They look like purple jellyfish.
Starry Bitterling
Starry Bitterling can be found on any pond in Elderwood. Since Central Stables is the nearest. Let`s go there.
Use normal worms and cast your rod anytime during the day to catch Starry Bitterling. Let`s catch the next fish.
Ancient Koi
The location to fish Ancient Koi is found in a river stream between Jenesse Pass and the Deep Woods.
Ancient Koi will take bait only if you are using Normal Worms, and at any time of the day. It has a purple color of a Koi species.
Umbraan Betta
Umbraan Betta can be found in Mitana Grove`s Pond in its southern part. Let`s head over to the marked location.
The Umbraan betta is a sensitive fish and can only be caught between 6 pm – 3 am in game time and by using glow worms. Their appearance is just like Palian betta but darker in color.
Toadstool Floatfish
Okanaa Bog is the location to catch toadstool floatfish. Let`s travel near the location.
Can catch this toadstool without any bait and at any time during the day. It looks like a green jellyfish.
Turn Pike Fish
Turn pike fish can also be caught in any pond area. But, In this example, lets go to Central Stables pond.
Turn pike will only eat glow worms, but they can be caught any time of the day. Let`s add this species to our collection.
Lake Shark Fish
Sharks in Elderwood are found in any bay area. Let`s go to the seaside.
You must use glow worms or worms when casting bait. Sharks can be caught anytime during the day. Be careful with their sharp teeth!
Eleroo Eel
Eels can also be caught in any Bay area of Elderwood.
Eels can be caught by using glow worms or normal worms between 6 pm and 6 am in-game time. Also, they are creatures that are long and sleek.
Angel Fish
Go to any pond area of the Elderwood region to hunt for Angel Fish.

Batterfly Beans
Batterfly beans are plants that are scattered on the ground in Mitana Grove. Let`s go to the marked location.
The Batterfly Beans are always seen at the bottom of a tree. Here is a sample of what it looks like. Get it and let’s move on to the next forageable.
Elder Clam Mushroom
Elder clam mushrooms are found in scattered across the elderwood map. They are green like a mushroom. It works just like the clam found in the bahari.
Staircase Mushroom
Staircase mushrooms are found frequently in caves or the elevated part of the cave.
Floatfish Mushroom
Floatfish mushrooms are found in the large trunks of the trees in the Elderwood. Make your way to the top and more abundant floatfish can be found.
Elderwood Orchid
Elderwood Orchid is one of the two flowers frequently found across Elderwood.
Piksii Berries
Piksii Berries are also common across elderwood. It resembles a flower also found in Bahari Bay and Kilima Village.
Flowtato
Flowtato is a type of crop found buried across Elderwood. You can find them beside trees. They are used in cooking.
Elderwood Lotus
Elderwood Orchid is more common flower than the lotus and it is spread through Elderwood.
Honey
Honey is a new type of shootable forageable introduced in the new patch. Make sure to shoot it with an arrow and collect it.
Koopa Nuts
Also, a Koopa Nut is acquired through shooting arrows from an Elderwood type of Tree.
Elderflower
Elderflower is a rare type of forageable that can be found in the same spots as Floatfish Mushroom. They are found in the trunk of the trees in Deep woods.
Whitestone
A new type of stone is found by mining normal nodes in Elderwood. They are used to make whitestone slab for furniture making.
Ancient Wood
Ancient Wood is acquired by cutting down trees in Elderwood. It is the newest type of wood that can be turned into furnitures through furniture making.
Infected Essence
Infected Essences are accumulated by foraging, hunting creatures in Elderwood, or picking up different forageables.
Platinum Ore
A new type of ore called Platinum ore, which can be turned into bars for furniture making. The platinum ore nodes is only found in Elderwood alongside the abundance of Palium Nodes.
