How can you Get gold ore in Palia?
Unlike copper and iron, there is no naturally occurring nodes for gold ore. Gold ore is gained passively with a very small chance when you mine iron ore in the Bahari Bay area. To be able to mine Iron you must first have a standard pickaxe. Iron ore is typically found alongside pathways and near cliffs.
How to go to Bahari Bay?
To get gold ore in Palia, you must first go to the Bahari Bay area. You must walk east of the Kilima village in order to go to the entrance of the Bahari bay area shown in the red circle.
How to Upgrade the Makeshift Pickaxe to the Standard Pickaxe?
To be able to mine Iron ore which is needed to get gold ore, you must first upgrade your makeshift pick to a standard pick with the help of Hodari.
When you are in Bahari Bay, walk towards Hodari’s house as shown in the red circle.
Enter inside Hodari’s House.
Interact with the store by pressing G when you are near Hodari.
Inside the store you can find the standard pick which costs 250 gold to make and needs the makeshift pick alongside 20 sapwood planks and 5 copper bars
Where can you find gold ore in Palia?
You can get gold ore in Palia passively with a very small chance while mining iron ore in the Bahari Bay area. They are typically found near pathways and cliffs along the south side of the map.
Shown above that is highlighted in red are the spots where you can typically find iron ore.
You need to find stones with off-colored accents as shown above in order to distinguish iron ore from regular stone.
Typically they will just drop some stone and some iron ore.
After mining iron ore, there is a small chance that it will drop Gold ore.

Where can Gold ore be used?
The Palia community often uses gold in one of two ways. Some players outright sell the gold bar they make after they craft it from gold ore as a bonus from mining. While some save the gold bar they have made in order to use it for high-level crafting recipes.
