Kilima’s skilled miner is a man of few words and enjoys being on his own. Hodari loves his steak but dislikes any fish. Hodari is a devoted father to his only child, a teenage girl named Najuma.
Hodari’s Map Location
Hodari spends the majority of his time sightseeing around Bahari Bay and Kilima Village, where most of the villagers reside. He enjoys roaming and frequently changes locations. When fortunate, he can be found working at his shop, situated just below the Pavel Mines on the other side of the map at Bahari Bay. During the night, Hodari stays with his daughter Najuma in their home, conveniently located right next to his shop below the Pavel Mines.
Quests
Hodari’s quests require quite a lot of time, as they have a long quest line that is mainly focused on teaching players the fundamentals of mining.
- A Storage Solution
- Brick by Brick
Skills
Hodari is renowned for his exceptional mining abilities and is proficient in mining various resources. As the local expert he’s the go-to person for learning and leveling up mining skills. Hodari imparts both the fundamentals of mining and advanced techniques enhancing your skills and tools at the same time. Gathering resources is one of the essential aspects of Palia, making mining a crucial skill to master. To kickstart your mining journey, Hodari offers a selection of tools for sale, along with a variety of equipment recipes and resources available at his guild store.
Friendship and Romance
There are mainly two ways for you to gain friendship points with all of the villagers in Palia. The first way in gaining friendship points is to interact with the characters once every Palian day. A Palian day starts again every hour local time, thus you can talk to the locals once every hour to get friendship points. The second option is to give gifts to the villagers once a day in the real world. Additionally, every villager has a weekly wish list of unique items that, when granted, will give you bonus points.
You may learn what the villages’ weekly needs are by speaking with the villagers personally or through their acquaintances. Once you have found these items they will appear in the friendship user interface’s weekly wishes area. After reaching a specific friendship level with villagers, you will be rewarded with different items for completing their quests. This adds excitement to the game, as these items are exclusive and only available once you’ve finished the quests they’ve given you.
Many villagers in Kilima (and beyond) are open and available for something deeper than friendship. In Kilima, it is customary to give a pin to your lover to symbolize your love and devotion to each other. Who knows? Maybe if you get to know someone long enough, you will find yourself falling for them. Or, you may fall for multiple people; in Palia, it’s common and accepted to have multiple love interests or lovers. Unfortunately, you cannot romanticize with Hodari in the game.
Can You Buy Pickaxes From Hodari?
At Hodari’s shop, you can purchase various pickaxe recipes; some may require a certain level before becoming available. It’s essential to remember that upgraded tools come with a durability bar that needs regular repair. Despite this, you can always rely on your Makeshift pickaxe, as it has no limit to its durability.
