Reth is a skilled and dedicated cook who is renowned throughout the village of Kilima. He originally moved to Kilima village with his sister, Tish. Reth believes that his all-lettuce vegetable soup is the talk of the town.
Reth’s Map Location
Reth can often be found at the local inn, where he works the day shift. It is located in the center of Kilima Village, right next to the blacksmith shop. He also loves spending most of his time at the local tailor after his day shift at the inn. During the night, Reth stays at his quarters, just below the local inn where he works. Other than these locations, Reth can sometimes be found roaming around the village of Kilima.

Reth also has a lengthy questline that is focused on teaching players how to cook and leveling up their cooking skills.

Reth is the master when it comes to cooking. He is indeed the local expert when it comes to cooking your favorites; he gets excited when it comes to different soups. Reth will teach you how to cook different dishes that will help you level up your focus points. He will sell you different pieces of equipment to help you get started with your cooking journey. You can also buy different dishes at his place, located at the local Inn in the village.
Friendship and Romance
All the villagers in Palia can earn friendship points in one of two ways. Interacting with the characters once each Palian day is the first way to earn friendship points. Per hour of local time, a Palian day begins over; thus, you can chat with the locals once per hour to get points. The second option is to give gifts to the villagers once a day in the real world. Each villager also has a weekly wish list of unique items that, when granted, will give you bonus points.
You may learn what the villages’ weekly needs are by speaking with the villagers personally or through their acquaintances. Once you have found these items, they will appear in the friendship user interface’s weekly wishes area.
Once you complete each friendship level with villagers, you will be rewarded with different items for completing their quests. All items are exclusive and only available once you’ve finished the quests they’ve given you.
Many villagers in Kilima (just like Reth) are open and available for something deeper than friendship. In Kilima, it is custom to give a pin to your lover to symbolize your love and devotion to each other. Who knows? Maybe if you get to know someone long enough, you will find yourself falling for them. Or, you may fall for multiple people; in Palia, it’s common and accepted to have multiple love interests or lovers.
Complete Friendship Quest Guide
Level 1 Friendship Quest (Mix it Up)
Talk to Caleri to start the quest. he has given you permission to find a recipe in the library and hand it over to Reth.
You will need to find a Fancy Cook Book and a Dessert Cook Book. This is like treasure hunting in the library! Explore the library. Once you find the books, Bring it to reth.
Reth is happy about your help in finding the recipe books. For this quest, You will be receiving Reth`s lettuce soup and 50 renown. Good Job!
Level 2 Friendship Quest (Errands for Reth)
Tell Reth that Ashura is looking for him. then, Find ashura in the village and talk to him.
Reth`s has given you errands to do. You will need to do 3 tasks for the villagers of Kilima. The task are as follows:
- Deliver food to Eshe
- Pick up the pickles from Nai`o
- Pick up the meat from Hassian
Once done talk to ashura again and the quest will now conclude. You will be receiving 13 egg, 20 wild garlic and 20 renown. This is a lot of ingredients for cooking! time to light the stove! Good Job!
Level 3 Friendship Quest (Piece of Cake)
To start the quest, Go to the fisherman`s lagoon wherein you will need to find a cake. Worry not! I will show you the exact location of the cake
The Cake is found behind this little frog statue. Now, Go talk to Tamala and bring the cake to her.
Tamala is happy with the cake and will taste it later. Report back to Reth. Go to the Kilima Tavern
Reth has something going on, He wants you to meet him in the secret storeroom in the tavern. Go down these stairs to access the storeroom.
Enter the storeroom and talk to reth.
Reth give thanks for your help with the cake delivery and being a reliable chatmate with his problems. This quest will now conclude, You will be given 10 butter,10 cooking Oil, and 25 renown. Good job on improving your relationship with Reth!
Level 4 Friendship Quest (The Heist)
To start the quest, You must have level 4 friendship with Reth, Then at the morning check your mail and read the letter sent to you. Reth asks you to meet him in the storeroom. It is found in the underground of Kilima Tavern. Let`s go I’m excited about this one.
Go Inside and Talk to reth to progress the quest.
Reth said that Tish is sick and the shipment for her medicine is held by the authorities. Reth said that the shipment is sealed in city hall and asks you to find a way in to open it. Let`s find a way in and talk to Eshe, Kenli or Kenyatta.
To make the quest short, Go straight to kenli and as a reliable friend you are. He will give you the key to the room where the cargo is sealed. Let`s go to the city hall.
Enter the Storeroom and make sure Eshe is not looking.
Reth`s shipment is placed on a small chair. You can immediately find it since it is a small room. Give it to Reth in the storeroom.
Reth could not believe that you did it. He is surprised on your capabilities.
Reth appreciates your effort! He is willing to pay the favor back when the time comes as a loyal friend. The Quest will give you a memento of reth which is Lucky Stew Pot Decor. Good Job on helping our Chef Friend!
