Before playing the game, it’s important to know about the Starfield skills that can affect your gameplay, including combat, diplomacy, and science.
Starfield Skills
Starfield Skills comprise a set of abilities designed to cater to diverse playstyles, offering a range of options from diplomatic and scientific approaches to more aggressive combat-focused strategies. This flexibility ensures that players can carve their own paths through the game, making each playthrough a unique adventure.
At the start of the game’s character creation process, you will choose three Starfield skills. As you progress through the game, you can acquire additional skills. By earning skill points, you can unlock or upgrade your existing skills. Completing skill-specific challenges will unlock higher ranks.
There are 82 Starfield Skills categorized into five groups: Physical, Social, Combat, Science, and Tech. Each skill has four ranks, and each rank has a challenge to unlock the next rank. The skills are also divided into tiers based on their relative complexity and significance within the game (1 – Novice, 2 – Advanced, 3 – Expert, 4- Master).
