Dead Island 2 is set to release soon and they have just released The Final Preview giving us a good look into the game. In this article we are going to take a deep dive into The Final Preview.
Dead Island 2 is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver. It is a sequel to the 2011 video game Dead Island and the third major instalment in the Dead Island series.
Dead Island 2 The Final Preview Breakdown
As the trailer starts we instantly get a good look into some exploding zombies, seemly with some nice weapon combinations!
Some of the footage seems to be alot of what we have seen before in other videos. Although the narrator did say he got a 5 hour hands on preview, we seem to be getting a lot of the same footage. However a quick recap on the melee, punching the zombie in the face is always nice.
As we start to get into The Final Preview Trailer get a little backstory about how we end up in Hell-A and what’s going on. Accompanied with some awesome views over the city, this is sure to give us, the players a thirst to go exploring Hell-A.
Is Dead Island 2 Open World?
Unfortunately the game is not and open world survival type game, but instead its 10 districts stitched together by loading screens.
Are the Zombies Hard to Kill?
As we’ve seen on our Zombies page, we are going to be getting some extremely tough Zombies to take on. They will be especially hard if you are not a high enough level too.
Are the Characters we get to play Strong?
The next few clips introduce up the characters we’ve learnt about recently too in our characters page. Giving us a little look into their skills and how they look when in use slaying zombies.
Getting another look into the Dead Island 2 Skill card system was also a nice bonus. Allowing you to choose between basic abilities such a blocks and dodges. Then laying on cards to further enhance them.
The bulk of the cards they unlocked during their hands on preview were useful but not exactly game changing. Such as gaining health from well-timed blocks or performing a war-cry to gain a temporary boost to toughness.
The rest of The Final Preview trailer was pretty strait forward with some ass-kicking zombie footage. Dead Island 2 is set to release on 21st April 2023. We will be covering the game with guides, a database of weapons and items as well as an interactive map.
