This quest, entitled Claim A Spot for Your Base quest guide. is like a tutorial quest for you to know the different mechanics and interactions you could do in the game.
Claim A Spot for Your Base Quest Guide – Leave The Cindervault
Once you have created your character, You will wake up in a Chamber, and the flame will speak to you and instruct you to construct a Flame Altar. Head out to the door to start the quest.

After leaving the Cindervault, there is an obelisk near you. Once you interact with it, it provides a tutorial message for you and locates the place for your base. As you have seen, it is somewhere north.
Also, a marker at the top middle portion of the screen will pop out. This indicates your next location to go to.
There is a book called, ‘On the Flame and Its Murmurs’. Read this since lore is important in Enshrouded because it can have several hints and quests once you read it.
Head to the cave entrance.
As soon as you go near it, look for a chest on the right side of the entrance. Claim the valuable resources that you might need later on.
Collect this torch leaning against the pillar. This will serve as your light as you travel into the dark cave.

three things that you need to do in this Chamber. First. go to the left side and head down the path.
You will see a blocked path with rocks. A tutorial hint will ask you to pick up the bombs on your left and throw them into the debris.
Boom! What a Surprise! Underneath the rocks, there is a hidden chest. Loot it to receive a Hatchet! Also, read the Book on the table for the lore. Now, descend the cave.
On the left side, there is another Hidden Chest. Time to loot it. Now that you have done the two things. Let’s head over to the third one and go to the right path.

Now, for the next chamber, you will be introduced to a critical mechanic of the game. The Shroud. It is a mist and a deadly miasma hovering around the air. You need to deal with it to progress through the game.
After you are in the vicinity of the Shroud, you will be cautioned with Enshrouded. You have 5 mins to survive in the shroud. The timer will reset once you leave the shroud and re-enter it. If not, you will die.
Fight the Skeletons. loot them as they hold valuable items.
Continue straight ahead to exit the cave.

Once you leave the cave, A beacon will light up. These beacons are handy and will act as a respawn point when you die. However, if you die, some materials might also drop, and the only way to retrieve them is by claiming them right at the spot where you die. Notice that there is a light on the left side. That is the location for our base.
Before you descend the mountain, there is a camp nearby. Check it out and claim all the rewards. Also, there are books located on the map. read them and claim their lore.
This book is located inside the tent, titled, ‘Captain’s Journal, Day One.
This book is hidden on the secret door found in the broken stone houses. It is entitled ‘Don’t Leave My Side’.
This book is near the Campfire. Titled ‘A Good Night’s Rest’. Also, there is food here, and you can cook it by the fire to test your skills in cooking.
This book’s location is dangerous since it is in the Shroud. Be careful reading it since skeletons may attack you.
This book is near the previous one. It is found in the basement. Titled ‘The Shroud Looms’.
There is a chest found on the top of the scaffolding. Take it before you go to the Base Location.
Now, at long last, head over to the marker to Claim a Spot for your Base! Forage any materials along the way as they could be useful later on.
Now that you have reached the location. Press V to start crafting the Flame Altar.
To construct the Flame Altar, you will need 5 Stones. It can be easily found around the area.
Place the Altar anywhere that is suitable for you. In my case, this would be alright in the open space since there is a lot of space to build.
