Discover Where to get Silver Ore
With the recent Enshrouded update, it brought in new maps, armor, and materials into it, which extended exploration and gameplay even further. Silver ore is one of the new materials, and is vital in the world of Enshrouded; it assists in the crafting process of late-game armor and shields. This guide will walk you through each step to find and extract silver ore effectively.
Requirements
Flame Level
To collect silver ore you need to be at a minimum of Flame Level 6, since it is buried in difficult Enshrouded regions, and is also safeguarded by level 28 enemies. Therefore, it is very important to prepare your character to withstand and counter this heavy-leveled area. Advanced tools and equipment will also help you in surviving those areas and increase mining efficiency.
The Blast Furnace
Raw silver ore can’t be used directly; it has to be smelted into bars first. You will need to have the brand new crafting station-the Blast Furnace-that smelts silver ore to silver bars.
In order to get the Blast Furnace, the blacksmith questline has to be followed and until you reach the stage of the quest where you need to look for the “Bellows” located at the Forge of Obsidia.
The Bellows can be looted from the boss called Scavenger Tyrant after killing it. The boss is in the forgery area of the Forge of Obsidia.
You can also mine silver ore in the Forge of Obsidia, but it is so few that you might only get 2-3 Silver ores per run.
Finding Silver Ore in Enshrouded
As of now, the Elixir Well is the primary silver ore location, located between Ancient Spire – Albaneve Summits and Ancient Spire – Nomad Highlands. Fortunately, this location is below the mountains, so frost resistance isn’t necessary here. Instead, be ready for the battle, as you will encounter variety of enemies that watches over the silver ore deposits.
Navigating to the Elixir Well
Fast-travel to either Ancient Spire – Albaneve Summits or Ancient Spire – Nomad Highlands for the quickest route to the Elixir Well. The best route is from Albaneve Summits that lets you fly down to the Elixir Well. This route helps you avoid extra fights and really saves much time on your trip.
Upon entering the Elixir Well, you should be prepared to fight a variety of mobs. There’s also a powerful boss too (Level 28), so top of the line gear and abilities are what’s going to cut it.
Shortcut to the Boss room
If you want to skip on killing off all of the mobs until you reach the boss room, there is a shortcut aboveground, a dangerous hole.
When you go down into it, it will lead you immediately to the boss room and to the shroud root, but players/flameborns will need a lot of good timing skill to be able to land in the boss area, and not in the red shrouded lake (which will kill you instantly).
Destroying Shroud Root
Flameborns/Players will need to destroy the shroud root to remove the shroud air and reset the enshrouded timer. This will also allow players/flameborns to have safe space when mining Silver ore, since not all of Elixir Well will be cleansed of the Shrouded Air.
Mining Silver Ore
After vanquishing the boss and the shroud root, head north of the Shroud Root. Here, you’ll find the first silver ore deposit, with additional deposits further down the path.
Exploring thoroughly will yield more ore, although it may require repeated visits or server resets to accumulate enough silver for crafting (One run can get you 40+ Silver ores).
Recommended Skills for Efficient Mining
Certain skills enhance mining efficiency, making it easier and faster to gather resources in the Elixir Well:
- Miner: Provides a 10% chance of finding extra resources while mining.
- Mason: Increases pickaxe damage by 30% when used on stone objects, including resource veins.
- Quality Gear: Slows tool durability loss by 50%, allowing your pickaxe to last longer while mining silver.
Each of these skills will help maximize your haul, and reduces the need to respawn the ore deposits (by resetting the server) and repair your equipment.
Smelting Silver Ore
To turn silver ore into silver bars, you will have to smelt it in the blast furnace that will require:
- 20 Silver Ore
- 10 Coal
Per batch will result into 20 Silver Bars. Silver bars can be used for crafting late-game armor, shields, and other late-game items, making it quite worth the effort.
Coal vs. Charcoal
Coal can be obtained in the Albaneve summits, one location you can find them is in the caves just below the Ancient Spire – Albaneve Summits. Note that Coal is different from Charcoal, coal is mined while charcoal is made from charcoal kiln. It also has different usage in Enshrouded.
