Overview of Revelwood

Ancient Spire – Revelwood

Ancient Spire – Revelwood is one of the major landmarks in Revelwood. It will not only give a vital point to fast travel but will also form a center for your fossil hunting exploits. Unlocking it gives you the ability to move/fly around the region fast, making it much easier to collect fossils.

Fossils of Revelwood

There are four fossils to be found in the Revelwood region. Each of them is located in a specific part of the map, often well-guarded by environmental challenges or hidden within the terrain.

First Fossil: Trilobites

The first fossil can be found in the Mark of Sameth, to the west of the Ancient Spire – Revelwood. The place is full of Scavengers; thus, you need to gear up.

Just go straight from the entrance, then find the three bomb barrels near the rubble

Second Fossil: Single Gastropod

The second fossil is located directly south of the Ancient Spire – Revelwood. This place is easier to tack down compared to the first fossil, but be wary since the fossil is inside a cave full of spiders.

You must locate the entrance of the cave first. (The image below shows my POV at the entrance of the cave)

Once you enter the cave, turn left, then you’ll see a Grappling Hook Pull Anchor. Grapple up there, then you’ll see the second fossil, the “Single Gastropod” covered in spider’s web.

Third Fossil: Trilobite Imprint

This fossil can be found to the south of the Old Rye Trade Outpost, southeast of the Ancient Spire. It can be found inside a cave full of plant monsters.

You must first locate the entrance of the cave. (The image below shows my POV at the entrance of the cave).

You need to mine a bit of the rubble to be able to obtain it. (Image below shows the close up look)

Fourth Fossil: Gastropods

The last of the fossils is positioned south of the Northern Caravan Camp, and east from Fawnsong Frontier. Quietly, one of the most secluded parts of Revelwood and you’re going to have to be a bit careful here since the fossil is inside an Enshrouded Cave.

The location is an underground cave so you need to find the crack entrance. (The image below shows my POV at the entrance of the cave).

Just go straight from the entrance, in the deepest part of the cave, you’ll see the “Gastropods” Fossil.

You need to mine the rubble for you to be able to get it. (Image below shows the close up look)
