So far, we’ve been able to confirm at least the following systems through the epic games reveal of Return to Moria:
Crafting in Return to Moria
The game promises to bring a large system based around unlocking several tiers of upgradeable gear and crafting stations. This will be done through exploration and gathering.
Repairing
There are old dwarven legends about their ability to repair and reforge their gear and tools. Meaning all gear and tools should be repairable with their own fully fledged repair system within Return to Moria.
Strengthening
There have been whispers about the dwarfish’s ability to make their armor impenetrable. And their axes are unbreakable through strengthening in the dwarven forges. We know little about how this will actually work as of now, but it’s expected to be paramount to late game progression. Alongside Crafting in Return to Moria.
Enchanting
Little is known about Enchanting in Return to Moria. Although we have heard whispers in the great halls about rarity and possible enchantments on items. Giving special attributes like possible strength increases or added wisdom points.
It appears crafting will be highly tied into exploration. As you explore for bigger and better resources and more dwarven knowledge. You can expect to run into landmarks like great mines and old dwarven forges lost to time which can be repaired through the repair system .
We’ve put together a bit more information in the FAQ.
