In a recent and unexpected patch so soon after the Early Access release, Endnight Games dropped a big first patch. This patch included the new Pufftons Mini Boss Fight. In this guide, we’re going to show you where you need to go to find the Pufftons and what to expect when you arrive.
Of course, if you’re not looking for spoilers, don’t read on. However before you leave, just in case you’re looking for the location, you will find the Puffton’s in the Food Bunker. Click here to find the “Mini Boss” on our Sons of the Forest Interactive Map.
Before you make your way to the Pufftons Mini Boss it will be important that you are armed and stocked up with consumables. Once ready, you will want to make your way to the Lake with the Island as seen in the image above. You will be on the lookout for a cave entrance next to the Golf Cart.
Make you way into the Cave and enter the bunker. Its quite a simple bunker but you will find a few items in there that you may find useful. Two items you will be looking out for before you meet the Pufftons Mini Boss is the Shotgun Rail and the Crossbow. Click the link to the Crossbow and you will find more information on where to find it.
Now make your way through the bunker, again, its extremely simple, follow the one way. if you reach the door which requires a Keycard and you don’t yet have it. Retrace your steps about 5 metres and take your right, in that room you will find the VIP Keycard. This will unlock the room to the dining hall.
Once you enter the Dining Room, make your way to the Glass wall at the back and you will meet the Pufftons Mini Boss.
How do you Fight The Pufftons Mini Boss?
The Boss fight itself is quite difficult, especially with the recent Shotgun nerf in the Patch 01. You will find the Pufftons move extremely fast, very similar to the other mutants however they have much more health and can deal more damage.
We would recommend using the Compound Bow with Carbon Fibre Arrows and the Shotgun. Make sure to move fast when they approach and focus on taking down one at a time. Once you have killed one, taking down the other is quite simple.
