Moldy Matriarch Armor is a Tier III equipment set from the Infected Broodmother parts. The collection consists of “Mask of the Moldy Matriarch”, “Chest of the Moldy Matriarch”, and “Greaves of the Moldy Matriarch”.
The Infected Broodmother
This optional boss can be found in the Haze on the right of the Haze Lab. You can recognize this by all the spiderwebs in the entrance similar to the Broodmother Hedge. Blaster of the Moldy Matriarch
The Blaster of the Moldy Matriarch is a ranged weapon that is a bomb that has infinite ammo. If you throw it, it does small bounces and will be exploding in 2 seconds. it gives negative effects to enemies and players alike. It also harvests and destroys Resource Nodes making it useful for resource harvesting. If Apex Predator is enabled, it gives venom effect to the enemies affected.
It needs to be crafted in the Workbench and requires:
- 10 Infected Chunk
- 5 Infected Venom
- 25 Fungal Growth
The duplication cost of the blaster is 10,000 Raw Science.
The Moldy Matriarch Armor Set
The set is a tier III armor set that gives medium defense. When the whole set is equipped it gives you the Cluster Bomb set bonus, which gives a chance for explosive attacks to chain into smaller explosions. Also, note when the player upgrades any armor to the sleek upgrade, it gives another buff which is called the DynaMight. It gives explosive attacks a chance to lower the enemies’ resistance to explosives for 20 secs.
Mask of the Moldy Matriarch
The Mask of the Moldy Matriarch is the headpiece of the Moldy Matriarch set. When this piece is equipped it gives the buff explosive stun. It needs to be crafted in the Workbench and requires:
- 4 Infected Fang
- 2 Infected Venom
- 5 Pond Moss.
Chest of the Moldy Matriarch
The Chest of the Moldy Matriarch is the chest piece of the Moldy Matriarch set. When this piece is equipped it gives the buff explosive stun. It needs to be crafted in the Workbench and requires:
- 2 Infected Fang
- 2 Infected Venom
- 5 Infected Chunk
- 5 Pond Moss.
Greaves of the Moldy Matriarch
The Greaves of the Moldy Matriarch is the leg piece of the Moldy Matriarch set. When this piece is equipped it gives the buff explosive stun. It needs to be crafted in the Workbench and requires:
- 2 Infected Fang
- 4 Infected Venom
- 5 Pond Moss.
