Ziplines in Grounded are a way for you to move around the map quickly. As you progress through the game you will find you want to bring materials back to your base quickly.
When riding the Zipline the speed of it depends on how steep the line is. This does mean that longer ziplines you place to cross the map maybe slower. However it is still typically quicker and safer than running.
As you probably guessed, we recommend you build a tower where you can place one at the top and one at the bottom this way you can make a trip each way.
A feature that not many people are aware of, is that you can actually hold an object in your weak hand. This would be objects such as Torches of Slime Lanterns.
Put Materials on Your Zipline
A great feature of the Ziplines is that you can actually use them to transport materials. We hope in the future we can transport more, but for now you can attach Grass Planks and Weed Stems. Walk up to the Zipline and attach it and they will zip all the way down to the end.
This feature has come in really useful when building your base. One end of the line can be in an area full of Grass Planks and Weed Stems. Instead of walking them back, just attach them to your line.
Remember, you can use the Wall Anchors as well.
