The Shroom and Doom update is full of player requested features, oh and some things players didn’t request! Including Shroom bricks, sitting, pet companions, a crossbow and the terrifying Broodmother!

The Broodmother
Venture into the lair of the Broodmother; Grounded’s terrifying first boss that is sure to send shivers down your spine. Fight alone or with friends to reap the rewards that wait!
The Broodmother is a dangerous boss fight, found at The Hedge in a Large Burrow just off the Frisbee. Once the fight with the Broodmother starts players cannot enter or leave the lair until all players or the Broodmother is dead! She can be summoned by using the Broodmother BLT on the opened egg sacs within her lair.
Remember you can use the Arachnophobia Safe Mode if you need to.
Additional Features
As well as the Mushroom bricks and scary Broodmother, Obsidian have also included a couple of extra long-awaited community requests. You can now sit. Yup, when you build a chair you can now sit in it! You can tame and take care of Pet companions. And finally we have a crossbow to take with us to those dangerous biomes.
